Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG was recently launched by Maruti on September 12, 2024, which is 4 months after the launch of the Maruti Suzuki Swift petrol variant. This is the 14th CNG model by the brand and it really shows that the brand is significantly trying to expand their CNG portfolio. Since the launch, customers are waiting for Suzuki Swift CNG to hit the showrooms. Till now the swift CNG was offered only in Gujarat however now, the CNG variant has started to reach all the showrooms and is now available for purchase in India.
The car was launched at a price range of Rs 8.19 lakh to Rs 9.19 lakh (ex showroom) and was made available in three variants namely the VXi, VXi (O), and ZXi. The Suzuki Swift CNG ZXI is the high end version among all the available variants which has rich features that significantly enhance the overall experience. Some of the features are LED light setup, 15 inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, 9 inch touchscreen infotainment system, rear AC vents, most importantly start and stop button that is keyless.
The basic Suzuki Swift is powered by a 1.2 liter z-series three-cylinder petrol engine that is linked with a 5 speed manual gearbox. Talking about the engine it is capable of producing 80 BHP and 112 NM in standard mode. Whereas the CNG version sees a dip and is able to produce 69 BHP and 102 NM of peak torque. According to the country’s largest car maker, the maximum mileage of this car is 32.85 km/kg.
There is not much free designing with the latest version of the swift CNG as it is carrying the design language of the 4th generation Swift which was launched in May this year.
