Nayab Singh Saini who was chosen as the leader of the Haryana BJP Legislature Party will be taking oath as the Chief Minister of Haryana on October 17. This will be his second time in a row taking oath as the Chief Minister of Haryana. He was appointed as the CM of Haryana on 12th March 2024 and is set to continue the role. The ceremony will be held at 10:00 a.m. in Panchkula in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with other major BJP leaders as well as chief ministers from other states ruled by the BJP.

This is a major victory for the BJP as the state has never once chosen the same party for three consecutive times. Let us tell you that previous to Nayab Singh Saini, Bhartiya Janata party leader Manohar Lal Khattar was serving as the Chief Minister of Haryana. However, he had resigned ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections on 12 March, 2024. Saini highlighted peoples faith in the party and said

“The people of Haryana have placed their faith in the policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and formed the BJP government for the third time and the people have resolved to carry forward the vision of Prime Minister Modi to make India developed by 2047,”

Union Home minister Amit Shah who was present at the legislative party meeting in Panchkula expressed his happiness and said:

“I am very happy that you all have again chosen Nayab Singh Saini as your leader…”

“It was propagated that injustice is being done to the farmers. I want to tell the opposition that if there is any state in the whole country which buys 24 crops on MSP, it is Haryana. I want to tell them that if anyone has done the work of purchasing the maximum number of crops at MSP, then it is Prime Minister Narendra Modi…”

In the recent assembly polls, whose results were announced on October 8, BJP secured 48 seats for the 90 member house against Congress who had secured 37 seats. This led to the victory of the BJP party which will form a government in Haryana for the third time now.
