Kannada film director and actor GuruPrasad, was found dead on Sunday at his apartment in Tata New Haven, near Madanayakanahalli, Bengaluru. The 52-year-old filmmaker’s body was found hanging on the fan in his apartment. Initially, it has been suspected that the reason behind his death is family issues and financial troubles.

The director had married a few months ago and has been living in the apartment for around 8 months. It was his birthday just yesterday, November 2, just a day before his death, and was discovered dead today. However, Residents of Tata New Haven Apartments found it strange when a strong odor was noticed from Guru Prasad’s rented apartment followed by which they alerted authorities. Upon entering the residence, the police discovered his body hanging. Initial reports suggest he may have ended his life on Friday evening or Saturday, as his body was found in a swollen state, indicating it had been there for some time and the smell was coming.

What is the reason for Guruprasad suicide

In recent months, Guru Prasad’s life seemed difficult as he struggled with personal and financial issues. As per latest reports, he had been very disturbed due to debt on him. Friends and industry insiders noted that the director had taken loans from various sources, leading to pressure from creditors. He had also shared plans with close family members to fund Eddelu Manjunatha-2 through crowd-funding, indicating his commitment to filmmaking despite the challenges he faced.

Veteran Kannada actor Jaggesh, who had worked with Guru Prasad, expressed that he was struggling and leaned on alcohol as well. Jaggesh said that Guru Prasad had recently appeared deeply affected by his circumstances, stating, “He said he would die a thousand times. I consoled him many times.” Jaggesh also highlighted the filmmaker’s strong pride and often unyielding nature, which, he suggested, may have made it difficult for him to seek help or make peace with setbacks.

The investigating is underway over Guru Prasad’s death, including the possibility of a suicide note that may shed light on his final thoughts. However, no official statement has yet been released for the exact reason behind his death.
