The Ford Equator Sport that debuted 3 years ago in China has been redesigned as Ford Equator Sport Facelift and has been launched in China. The latest model has been listed on the Jiangling Ford website, but the price has not been mentioned yet. However, as the current Equator Sport model has a price range of Rs 15.40 lakh to 19.75 lakh, the newly launched Facelift may also have a similar pricing. Given the fact that only a few minimal changes have been made, compared to the original model, there might be little hike in the price.

The Facelift has got some fresh cosmetic changes in its exterior mainly in the front end, while there is not much of a change in the remaining bodywork. Latest design trends like new lightning elements along with a sharper grille which has a more contemporary, sleek unit have been introduced. A black panel can be seen visually linking the new LED headlights to the bumper intakes. To give the Facelift a more toned-down, athletic, and dynamic look, the bumper has been upgraded accordingly. Meanwhile, the car features 20 inch alloy wheels for a better road presence. The Ford Equator Sport Facelift Launched in is available in 2 new colours that are Wilderness Green and Cactus Grey.

Ford Equator Sports Facelift Features

The new model has got a dimensional update and has gained 55 mm in length totalling to 4685 mm. However, other dimensions like the wheel base of 2,726 mm are all the same. In fact, the blacked-out pillars and roof, body coloured door handles, Chrome window garnish and edgy tail lamps all remain unchanged.

Talking about the interior, the new Equator Sport 2025 gets new trim options, an upgraded 10-speaker unit, dual 12.3 inch screen, in which one is for instrument display and other for touch screen infotainment system. Even though the increasing screen size is becoming a focused trend among car makers, the Ford Equator touchscreen remains the same and has not been made larger as expected. The facelift will be powered by the 1. 5 litre turbo petrol engine that is capable of giving an output of 168 hp and 260 Nm torque while being paired with 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and also comes with FWD setup. As per latest reports, the equator sport may add a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) power train option in the near future. Which will give a combined output of 215 hp and the battery pack for the hybrid version will be sourced from China based CATL.
