Maruti Suzuki India has officially launched the much-anticipated fourth-generation Maruti Dzire 2024, and the best part about it is that everything including specifications, design, Technology safety and powertrain have been upgraded noticeably. The new Dzire has been launched at a price of Rs. 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom), the new model aims to solidify its stronghold in the competitive subcompact sedan segment. Buyers will have two options of petrol and CNG variants, the 2024 Dzire caters to diverse consumer preferences while promising enhanced efficiency, style, and safety. In an official statement, the makers said that the Dzire is not limited to any age group or even location.

In terms of exterior styling, the 2024 Dzire is sure to make a statement with a modernized front grille featuring bold horizontal chrome accents, flanked by sleek rectangular LED signature headlamps with integrated fog lamps. The compact sedan’s stylish upgrades extend to its gloss black trims and chrome-finished accents, lending it a classy look ideal for urban landscapes. Moreover, the car comes in seven different color options, including Gallant Red, Alluring Blue, and Splendid Silver, catering to buyers’ varied cosmetic preferences.
The interior is sophisticated with spacious cabin, with Maruti focusing on comfort and tech features. A dual-tone premium dashboard and a new 9-inch floating touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto add a tech-savvy feel. Powertrain options and details
Now talking about the powertrain, it is powered by Maruti’s latest Z Series 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine, delivering 80 bhp and 112 Nm of torque. This engine is one of the world’s most efficient engines as per the makers. Customers can choose between a five-speed manual transmission and an automated manual transmission (AMT). The CNG variant, which appeals to eco-conscious buyers, has a slightly reduced power output of 69 bhp and 102 Nm of torque but offers a commendable fuel efficiency of 33.73 km/kg. Maruti’s move to bring fuel versatility in this segment aims to attract a wider customer base who are looking for budget-friendly, fuel-efficient vehicles.

Along with all the above the model is accompanied by cutting edge safety Technology, which has earned a commendable 5-star Global NCAP rating for adult occupant protection. Pricing for the Dzire varies across its four variants—LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+. The entry-level LXi, priced at Rs. 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom), reaches Rs. 10.14 lakh for the top-end ZXi+ AGS. The on-road prices vary slightly by state, generally adding around Rs. 1 lakh for registration, insurance, and taxes, taking the new Dzire’s on-road prices at around Rs. 7.79 lakh and Rs. 11.14 lakh.
