Royal Enfield is all set to debut its much-anticipated Bear 650 scrambler-style bike on November 5, 2024. Known for its classic yet rugged aesthetics, Royal Enfield has teased the Bear 650 on social media, giving enthusiasts a glimpse of how the model will be. This new model is expected to make a introduction at the upcoming Motoverse 2024, Royal Enfield’s annual motorcycling festival in Goa, which begins on November 22.
The Bear 650 builds on the brand’s beloved Interceptor 650, taking on a more off-road-ready stance with distinctive scrambler elements. The Bear 650 is a favorable option for those who love adventure. It features a circular headlamp, a single-pod instrument console, a one-piece seat, and knobbly tires on spoked wheels—staples of a scrambler. This bike will serve two types of customers as the design is expected to blend Royal Enfield’s vintage aesthetic with enhanced rugged features for varied terrains.
Engine and performance
The Bear 650 will be powered by a 648cc parallel-twin engine that produces 47 BHP and 52.3 Nm of torque. It’s the same powertrain as the Interceptor. This engine, paired with a 6-speed gearbox, will ensure reliable performance, making it ideal for both city rides and long, off-road excursions. To support its scrambler image, the Bear 650 will be fitted with an upside-down (USD) front fork and twin shock absorbers at the rear, optimizing stability as well as control on uneven terrains. Taklking about the brake system, Royal Enfield has equipped the bike with disc brakes at both ends, enhancing safety and performance across different riding conditions.
