Royal Enfield has finally unveiled the Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350, which is the first bobber styled motorcycle based on the Royal Enfield Classic 350. Royal Enfield Classic 350 is the most popular and successful model by the company and the Goan Classic 350 is an upgraded version of it. The motorcycle that is scheduled to officially launch on 23 January 2024, at the Motoverse event in Goa is a blend of retro and modern aesthetics. Although, the new model is based on the Classic 350, it has different features, design and feel to it. Upon arrival, it will be the fifth motorcycle from the brand to be based on the J-Series platform.
Design and looks
The first thing that comes to attention is the Teardrop-shaped, dual-tone finish fuel tank that features Royal Enfield’s new logo, making it the first model to carry the latest RE logo. Moving further, we can see that round LED headlights have been added for a more modern touch while also continuing the Classic appeal. The Goan Classic 350 features several other retro-modern features like a floating single-seat design for a minimalist and retro feel., mini ape hanger handlebars which complement the bobber theme design, and vintage-inspired fenders. Moreover, the motorbike has U shaped handlebars and forward set footpegs along. It comes with Tubeless wire-spoke rims, white-wall tyres, blacked-out exhaust, and spoke wheels.
Powertrain and Engine
The Goan Classic 350 is powered by a 349cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that gives out 20.2 hp at 6,100 rpm and 27 Nm torque at 4,000 rpm, and is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. About the suspension, it comes with telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. According to the makers, there is not much of a change in the suspension set up and the braking has twin discs at both the ends with dual channel ABS. All these small changes, make the Goan Classic 350 a very different and unique motorcycle compared to the Classic 350.
Color options and price
The bike measures 2,130 mm in length, 825 mm in width, 1,200 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 1,400 mm and has been made available in 4 different colour options which are Rave Red, Shack Black, Trip Teal and Purple Haze. The Goan Classic 350 has several potential competitors like the Jawa 42 Bobber and Jawa Perak keeping in mind the similar price range. Reports suggest that the price of the motorcycle will be higher than the Classic 350, which means that it might have a price range of around Rs 1.93 lakh and Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom). With such a price, the Goan Classic 350 Bobber is set to make a stunning impression in the market in the bobber segment.
