The highly anticipated action drama Telugu film Devara: Part 1 that was released on 27 September 2024 has created quite a buzz at the box office. On the first day the film has grossed around Rs 140 crore worldwide as reported by sacnilk. Devara box office collection day 1 suggests that the film has had a strong start and also that it has a strong Global presence. The film that has been released in Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam has successfully grabbed audiences from different regions as it collected Rs 77 net across all languages. However, the OG Telugu version has had the highest collection.

The Jr NTR starrer film collected Rs 68.6 crore from Telugu version followed by Rs 7 crore in Hindi, Rs 0.8 crore in Tamil, Rs 0.3 crore in Kannada,Rs 0.3 crore in Malayalam. Apart from that, the film also did exceptionally well overseas by collecting – crore on its first day of release. The Telugu version of the film had an average occupancy rate of 79.56 percent, where the highest occupancy of 87.45% was noticed in the night shows. Furthermore, the morning shows had an occupancy of 80.11 percent, the afternoon shows had an occupancy of 71.46 percent, and the evening shows had an occupancy of 79.21 percent.
Hindi Occupancy of Devara
Meanwhile, the hindi version’s average occupancy rate was around 18.37% which shows neutral response from the Hindi belt of the audience especially from north India. Although, the opening day saw less occupancy, the enthusiasm of the South Indian community may bring more of the people which will significantly have an upward Trend in the upcoming days. It is also expected that the film will cross Rs 250 crore in its opening weekend.
Reviews from the audience and critics suggest that the film is amazing yet falls short when it comes to predictable plot developments. However, the lead actor’s performance as well as grand visuals along with an engaging narrative have contributed highly to the film’s success. Apart from Jr NTR, the film stars main actors like Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. The film revolves around two compatriots who have a fall out and son takes up father’s mantle. Jr NTR plays the double role of son Vara and father Devara and Bhaira, played by Saif, is a notorious pirate-adjacent who loots cargo ships. The Devar film budget is Rs 300 crore as per reports.
