There is a lot of hype around Jr NTR’s highly anticipated film Devara: part 1 which is getting ready for its release on September 27, 2024. Meanwhile today, the advance bookings for the action drama have begun. As per reports by 123 Telugu, the hype surrounding the film has led to a high number of advanced bookings in Nizam region although the tickets are priced at Rs 413 for multiplexes and Rs 295 for single screens. The film has sold tickets worth Rs 7.96 crore so far for its first day shows.
However, from day 2, the ticket prices will be dropped to Rs 354 and Rs 206.50 respectively. The film features bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor as the lead actress which marks her debut in the Telugu Cinema industry. Just a month ago, the song “Chuttamalle” sung by Shilpa Rao was posted on YouTube and it seems to have received lots of love. The film’s soundtrack was composed by popular musician Anirudh Ravichander.
On the day of release, the early shows will run in 29 theaters at 1 a.m. Further, 4 shows have been scheduled for 4 a.m. Moreover, from September 28 to October 6, the film will have six shows daily in Telangana. Fans from Andhra Pradesh will be able to attend special midnight screenings on the date of release along with six extra shows. The state will have five additional shows every day. All the fans are eagerly waiting for the film as it is Jr NTR’s return on the silver screen in a solo film after 6 long years. Fans have very high expectations from the film after his last film “RRR” got recognised globally and was proven to be record breaking in the box office.
Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh government has increased the ticket prices significantly. Upper class ticket prices will go up by Rs 110, lower class by Rs 60 and multiplex tickets by Rs 135. The madness could be witnessed when the production had scheduled for a pre-release event, where Jr NTR was supposed to appear but unfortunately, it got cancelled. The event was planned for 5,000 people but a crowd of 15,000 people reached the place creating security concerns for the actor. Taking on X, the actor expressed his sadness as the show got cancelled. This shows that the fan base is huge and that people will be giving a lot of love to the film.
Devara: Part 1 was initially supposed to be a one go film. However, the film has been made into a two part saga. Because as the production progressed with the rich character story line it was decided that the film needs to be extended into two parts. The film is an epic action saga set located in the coastal Islands. Jr NTR has played duel roles in the film as Father and son whereas Saif Ali Khan plays the role of the antagonist.
