Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2 – The Rule’ is keeping everyone on the edge of their seat as it is getting ready to release globally on December 5. The hype is such that it is creating historic records even before the release. On the first day of advanced booking, December 2, the film has earned Rs 50 Crore with a total sale of over 1 Million tickets on BookMyShow, surpassing previous record holders such as ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’, and ‘K.G.F.: Chapter 2’. If the trend continues it is expected that the earnings will sky rocket in the upcoming days as there are only two days remaining for the film to release.
Advance booking contribution
The film directed by Sukumar is set to release in multiple languages in multiple formats and the pre-sale figures for different languages are here. As per reports, a total of Rs 35.7 Crore nett collection (India total) of advance booking has been reported including Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam markets. The 2D Telugu version has got Rs 17.16 crore in the advance booking and the Hindi version has contributed around Rs 12 crore to the total figure. Then the Tamil and Malayalam versions of Pushpa 2 have minted Rs 82.4 lakh and Rs 1.02 crore, respectively.
Hike in Ticket Price
While the box office meter has started ticking, the Andhra Pradesh government has announced a hike in the ticket price, which will further boost the collection. Moreover, several screens are expected to open from today which means there’ll be more ticket sales. All these factors together will highly contribute to the box office collection of Pushpa 2. Furthermore, Trade analysts have stated that, looking at the current hype, the film can easily earn Rs 250 to 275 crore on day 1 of release.
The film has been made with a budget of around Rs 400 crore and stars actors like Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in important roles alongside Allu Arjun. The second installment, Pushpa 2, will continue the story that revolves around power struggles and red sandalwood smuggling which started in the first installment. Allu Arjun’s national award winning performance in ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ has further excited the fans and there are high expectations from the makers.
