Veteran Indian Bihar folk singer Sharda Sinha has been placed on ventilator support at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi. Her family has informed that her health deteriorated on Monday evening, and she remains critically ill, her family further appealed to her fans to pray for her. Let us tell you that she is widely known as ” Kokila” or “Nightingale of Bihar” and has received several prestigious awards, including the Padma Shri, Padma Vibhushan, and the Padma Bhushan, in recognition of her impact on Indian music and culture.
Anshuman, her son has been using social media, including his YouTube channel, to keep fans updated about her health, ensuring that they receive only verified news as soon much of fake news is going on the internet. In a recent video, he said,
“Mother is on ventilator now. It’s a challenging time, and I urge everyone to pray for her recovery. She has contributed immensely to her country and culture, and we hope for her strength to pull through.”
Admitted to AIIMS Delhi for last 10 days
Sharda Sinha has been admitted to AIIMS hospital in Delhi for the last 10 days and her condition is being closely monitored by the AIIMS medical team. Her son said that despite that, her health is not improving much, as quoted by News18. Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached out to her son to inquire about her health, expressing concern and encouraging the family to seek the best possible treatment. The Prime Minister extended his support, stating that the singer’s contribution to Indian music holds a special place in the nation’s cultural heritage.

Anshuman shared her message, asking followers to include her in their Chhath Puja prayers. “Chhathi Maiya is a source of strength for my mother. She needs everyone’s support during this battle,” he said.
