Oneplus had announced that its next flagship model OnePlus 13 will be launched in October 2024, in China. Although, the phone maker has not yet revealed the launch date of Oneplus 13 in India, it is being expected that it might happen a few weeks after the model is launched in China. Reports suggest that the President of OnePlus China, Louise Lee, has revealed the first look of the upcoming smartphone on Chinese social media platform Weibo.
OnePlus 13 features
The smartphone is expected to feature a 6.82 inch 2K AMOLED screen along with LTPO technology that helps in dynamic adjustment of the refresh rate enabling smooth user experience. It has been confirmed that OnePlus 13 will have BOE’s second-generation Oriental display. The smartphone also features a front design with slim bezels. The front camera has a punch-hole cut out design and the device is expected to come with a new camera Island design which will say goodbye to the old OnePlus 12 look. The back camera is likely to be a three lens setup in which the main camera will feature a 50 megapixel lens with a Sony LYT-808 sensor. It will also include 50 megapixel ultra wide lens as well as 50 megapixel Periscope telephoto camera that provides 3X optical zoom.
OnePlus 13 will be powered by the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 chipset which is scheduled to launch in October, 2024. This will significantly improve the performance of the upcoming phone. The Chinese variant is offering up to 24 GB LPDDR5X RAM which makes it easier for multitasking and capable for high performance tasks. Special focus has been made on gaming tasks with a 120 FPS gaming experience for titles like Ginshin impact, which is a first of its kind in the industry.

The smartphone is speculated to include an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor that will ensure easier unlocking. Talking about the battery, the phone will have a 6000mAh battery and will come with 100 watt wired charging as well as 50 watt wireless charging. One of the special features of OnePlus 13 is the Glacier battery technology that promises to keep the phone cool even during heavy tasks. Leaks suggest that for this model, there will be several storage variants that will help both casual users as well as tech enthusiasts.
