Yes, you heard that right, The Ratan Tata Group-owned platform Bigbasket has now started selling electronics and that includes the latest iPhone 16 series as well. As per the new electronic category’s promise, the electronic devices, including iPhone 16, shall be delivered in just 10 minutes. Not just phones but laptops, PlayStation consoles, mobile phones, microwaves, and many other things will be available on the app.
According to reports, to fulfill its promise, Bigbasket has joined hands with Croma which is Tata Group’s electronics retail chain. This will make it easier for BigBasket to access and sell premium electronic devices quickly and efficiently. Bigbasket introducing the electronics category is a major signal of its expansion and vision to rule the electronics market. The decision to deliver electronics, especially premium items like the iPhones, in 10 minutes is a significant shift in the e-commerce landscape which eliminates the need to stand in queues to get your hands on newly launched devices.
Meanwhile, let us inform you that Blinkit is also in the game. In one of the social media posts posted by FridayAlbinder Dhindsa, the co-founder and CEO of Blinkit, wrote that the company will be delivering the iPhone 16 in Delhi, NCR, Mumbai, Pune, and Bengaluru on the same day of the latest iPhone series launch date. The e-commerce company has associated with Unicorn Stores and Apple retailers, to ensure the iPhone 16 is available to its users immediately on release. “Get the all-new iPhone 16 delivered in 10 minutes!

Meanwhile, Bigbasket’s CEO also expressed his joy of entering the electronic market. Bigbasket has two mobile apps namely BigBasket app and BBdaily which is a subscription service. BigBasket app provides different spaces for different delivery options. Where as under the ‘BigBasket Supersaver’ section, you’ll be able to select for delivery within 2-3 hours. Under another section ‘BBnow,’ delivery will be done within 10-20 minutes. Moreover, latest plans include merging of both the apps for an ultimate single app which would boost user experience as well as help in delivery speed.
The service has already rolled out on September 20 in Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR as well as Mumbai. Now users can order the phone by sitting at home. However, the platform is tight-lipped about any offers or discounts on the iPhone 16 devices unlike Blinkit who has offered discounts on selected cards and also provides EMI options!
The iPhone 16 series includes iphone 16, iphone 16 pro, iphone 16 plus, iphone 16 pro max where the price of iphone 16 is Rs 79,900 and iphone 16 pro begins at Rs 1,34,900. Some of the key features of the latest iphones are its new Camera Control Button and Apple Intelligence support across all models. Talking about the design, the standard models have the same design as that of the previous model. Pro models on the other hand, feature a bigger display along with the new “dessert titanium” finish. Furthermore, Bigbasket, which is right now selling the electronics in a few cities will expand as per demand.
