According to sources, Vivo is expanding its X200 series lineup in the Indian market with the expected launch of the Vivo X200 Pro Mini. A recent report by Smartprix, citing tipster Yogesh Brar, claims that the smartphone will be launched in the country between April and June 2025. If the claim is true, it will be the third model in the Vivo X200 series to be launched outside China, after the standard Vivo X200 and Vivo X200 Pro, which were launched in India in December 2024.
The Vivo X200 Pro Mini remains highly equipped but takes on the advantage of its body. Under its hood is a 3nm chipset with very impressive performance: MediaTek Dimensity 9400. Its performance will further complement a powerful multi-core combination as well. Its variant options for up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 1TB internal storage might enable even heavy-duty usage while never facing difficulties when storing photos or applications in storage.
Display
The smartphone comes with a 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. This is ideal for outdoor visibility and smooth scrolling. The display is expected to maintain Vivo’s premium quality with sharp visuals and vibrant colors.
Vivo has paired the X200 Pro Mini with a triple-camera setup and Zeiss optics. The main camera has a 50-megapixel resolution with optical image stabilization to shoot very sharp and blur-free images and videos. Alongside, there is a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and a 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor with autofocus as well. On its front, the device has a 32-megapixel selfie camera, helping content creators shoot high-quality images and videos.
Long Life Battery and Speed Charging
The Vivo X200 Pro Mini comes with a 5,700mAh silicon carbon battery, bringing along extended usage. It does 90W wired charging, and 30W wireless, which means people will not sit around for an hour or longer for their gadget to charge from a dead phone. This can be considered in a smartphone all-day performance reliable choice.
Software and Connectivity
The X200 Pro Mini is expected to run on Android 15, with Vivo’s Funtouch OS 15 in India. It offers seamless and feature-rich user experience along with enhanced customization options. In terms of connectivity, the device supports 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and GPS. It also has a USB Type-C port along with an in-display fingerprint scanner for secure authentication.
India Launch and Market Impact
Vivo has surged in India and has recently surpassed Samsung and Xiaomi to become India’s top smartphone brand for Q4 2024. The X200 Pro Mini is most likely to add an extra layer of depth to Vivo’s premium portfolio, a high-end device with a more compact design.
Since its listing in Vivo X200 Pro Mini is pending in India BIS certification, it should materialize with proximity to the estimated April launch, which further translates to the statement that Vivo does prepare to offer an official coming soon for sale in the succeeding months.
As Vivo continues to rule the Indian smartphone market, X200 Pro Mini could be appealing to users seeking a flagship experience in a more manageable size. With its premium display, powerful chipset, advanced camera system, and fast charging capabilities, the smartphone is likely to be a strong competitor in the high-end segment.
