With Diwali just around the corner, Mukesh Ambani and his family are celebrating the festive season just like anybody else. We all know that the family celebrates festivals in a grand way, similarly, the Ambani family has once again gone the extra mile to make this Diwali memorable, not just for themselves but for their employees as well. Ambanis gifted their employees a meticulously curated box filled with traditional dry fruits like cashews, almonds, and raisins. For many, this thoughtful gesture is more than just a gift; it symbolizes prosperity, luck, and heartfelt appreciation from India’s wealthiest family.
What did Ambanis give to employees?
A video is going viral on the Internet where a software developer from Reliance Jio shared her excitement on social media by unboxing the unique gift from the company. As she opened the elegant white box, adorned with “Deepawali Greetings” and “Shubh Deepawali” written on a card, she revealed a beautiful gold-ink illustration of Ganpati Bappa, blessing the employees in the true spirit of tradition. Further, a charming white potli bag can be seen in her hand, crafted with the Vantara theme—a nod to Anant Ambani’s dedication to wildlife conservation. She opens the potli and discovers it filled with dry fruits and came accompanied by a heartfelt note from the Ambani family, signed by Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani, and their children and grandchildren. The message underscored the family’s bond with their employees, fostering a feeling of unity and gratitude during this auspicious time.
Netizens say “My company gives a better gift than this”
However, some people on social media commented “No sweets on Diwali?, they need a better HR team”and some other users said “my company gives a better gift than this”. Several people in the comment section seemed to know about the Diwali bonus and asked if she got it. However, the employee replied that she did not get any Diwali bonus. A person also highlighted that the employee looks disappointed by the gift, to which their employee says “Need to be satisfied with what they gave no alternative”. Finally one of the users said “gift is gift, atleast company took efforts to give something, there are many MNCs who aren’t bothered about employees. So be happy with what you got.” Watch video here
A nod to the ‘Make in India’ spirit, this year’s gift carries on the legacy of last Diwali when the Ambanis launched the Swadesh initiative. Swadesh, a passion project for the Ambanis, aims to revitalize India’s ancient arts and crafts. Last Diwali, the family presented handcrafted gifts through this initiative, including a stunning handwoven kasav saree from Kerala, showcasing the intricate skill of India’s local artisans. This Diwali, the Ambanis continue their tribute to tradition, blending grandeur with a genuine respect for India’s heritage.
Token of belonging to Ambanis
The Ambani family’s commitment to traditional Sanatani values is well-known, often seen in their visits to temples across India, where they make generous offerings. This year’s Diwali gift serves as a reminder of their devotion, connecting their employees to a deeper sense of cultural and spiritual pride. For those who receive these gifts, it is more than a festive box—it is a token of belonging to the Ambani family’s incredible journey and vision.
