Israel has reportedly eliminated Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, who was believed to be behind the October 7 attacks in Israel. Yahya Sinwar was killed on Thursday by Israeli forces in Gaza. The claim comes after Israel discovered his body and confirmed its identity through DNA samples, dental records as well as fingerprints compared from the time when he was imprisoned in Israel. According to reports, his body was found along with a bulletproof vest, several thousands of shekels, 40,000 approximately along with grenades. The death of Hamas leader along with three other Hamas militants is a very big milestone for Israel.

A footage recorded through a drone is going viral that shows Sinwar’s last moment before his death. The footage shows him covered in dust, sitting on a chair in an almost destroyed building. However, after a while the building collapsed due to another strike which resulted in Sinwar’s death. In an official statement by the Foreign Minister Israel Katz was also released which said

“The mass murderer Yahya Sinwar, responsible for the massacre and atrocities of October 7, was eliminated… by IDF (Israeli military) soldiers,”

Israel says it won’t stop here!

Moreover, Daniel Hagari of the Israel Defence Forces, talked about the killing of Sinwar as well as Israel’s operational goals in Gaza and said

Sinwar was responsible for the most brutal attack against Israel in our history. When terrorists from Gaza invaded Israel, massacred Israelis in their homes, raped our women, burned entire families alive, and took over 250 men, women, children, and babies hostage into Gaza. 101 hostages still remain in captivity in brutal conditions for the past year

Hagari moreover highlighted that Israel’s war is with Hamas and not with the common people of Gaza. He further said that Israel is working to give more humanitarian aid like food, water and medicine that goes into Gaza, to the people of Gaza who are suffering because of Yahya Sinwar. He showed condolences to the families of those who were murdered or kidnapped because of Sinwar. IDF plans to not stop at this point, but wants to keep going until they bring home all the hostages by any means. “We will continue to operate until we complete all our missions in defense of the people of Israel,” he signed off.
